Unable to convert audio to midi notes;

I've got flex time turned on. When I do this, the program moves the audio files to the end of the piece (ads on measures). I am able to "analyze files for midi creation", but then it won't do it, e.g. that choice to create a new midi file from your chosen audio files is greyed out. I've tried everything, region is selected not track. I read a previous post that said audio to midi note conversion would not work on a "take " file. What is a "take " file? Anyway here's a screen shot. I desperately need to convert these back up vocals to notes, so if there's any way to get this to work, I'll take it. Thank you. Deb Colony
