AirPrint Pages document from iPad Air with iOS Sonoma

After opening a word document that was in email and saving as a pages document - unable tp AirPrint from the pages app using the share icon and selecting print option to a Canon TS 8252 (AirPrint enabled) connected on the the same wifi network. The same pages document can be AirPrinted from MacBook Air without any issues. Any suggestions?

On my M4 iPad Pro (v18.3.2) and with Pages for iPadOS v14.3, I tap the open document name in Pages and that reveals a Print menu item. On the resulting print panel, do not click the Share icon, only the Print icon. I just tested that with my online AirPrint-enabled Samsung ML2955ND laser printer and it works just fine.

If the printer is not powered up, the Print indicator will be dimmed. If for some reason, your iPad Air decided to connect to another network's stronger SSID signal, then until you correct this, you will not be able to see an active Print indicator.

It would be handy if Apple provided some indication of print in progress, but oh well…

Thanks VikingOSX. Just tried your suggestion but failed to print. It’s doing the same thing again it prints half a page then says printer error check printer but on the printer screen it just shows the sliding progress bar with message saying processing…..please wait momentarily. And it does not complete the print after a long wait!.

wonder if it’s an issue saving as pages from an emailed word document and it seems not to like a table - formatting issue after exporting perhaps?

I just emailed myself a Word document that was just exported from Pages v14.3 on Sequoia v15.3.2. It contained a complicated and embedded equation.

On my iPad Pro, I selected that attachment in Mail and while pressing and holding on the Word attachment, I selected the Share menu item and handed it off to Pages to import — which worked correctly. From there, I was able to print to my laser printer without a hitch.

Cycle power on your printer, your Mac, and your iPad. Confirm the printer is ready in AirPrint and then try printing that content from your iPad Air again.
