Apple Podcast app not working after update to iOS 18.3.2

I just updated my iPhone 11Pro to iOS 18.3.2 and now my podcast app is completely nonfunctional. It just shows the Home screen with the small ID circle not showing my photo. None of the buttons at the bottom do anything: Browse, Library, Search are all useless. How do I fix this?

I found another way to access your podcasts . Use Siri . You can get the name /# of the podcasts you want to listen to from you Mac and the ask Siri’s to play it . I did it with my AirPods pro and it worked . Just don’t try to open the podcast app while listening as this with shut off the podcast .

My podcast app crashes in 4 seconds after updating to 18.3.2 on my iPhone 15 pro . Every once and awhile it stays on the screen longer and then the next time it crashes in 4 seconds . I have done a soft reset , hard reset , and deleted and reinstalled…nothing helps .

I contacted support via text , but they couldn’t help . They just told me to call them for help . I figured they would most likely just tell me to reset to factory settings . Which I’d rather not do . I figure it is on Apple’s end so I’ll wait to see what happens . The podcasts work on my iMac no problem .

I can get podcasts to work for a time after doing a hard reboot. But in a matter of an hour or less it is back to non-functional. I deleted the app and reinstalled and I thought that fixed it because I could close the app and get it back in functional mode. However, that didn’t last either. I’m going to try synching the phone to my computer in Music and see what that does. I post the result.

I have synced my iPhone to my iMac and was considering loading a backup , but decided not to for the moment . It would be great if someone from Apple would comment on this issue . Whatever is going on is only affecting the iPhone . Very frustrating as I used my podcasts daily and now the only way that I can is to play a podcast on my iMac and then use Apple Music on my iPhones recently played category to access the podcast .
