Family Sharing Accounts/Multiple Credit Cards/Controls for both Adults
When is Apple going to listen to the families that are actually using Family Sharing and redesign it to be useful for families with more than one fully autonomous, decision-making grownup? The current setup doesn't even work well for conventional nuclear families, where both parents are equal in their right to conduct transactions and purchases let alone divorced families where two parents are sharing oversight of a child but don't want to co-mingle their finances; families where one parent travels frequently, etc. Since each family member has their own Apple ID it stands to reason that each family member should also be able to have their own credit card or other non-gift card payment method associated with the account so that each family member can make their own purchases without the "head of household" having to weigh in. Parents should be able to decide what payment methods to input for their children, whether that's gift cards, debit cards, Apple pay, a conventional credit card, and then families could also decide whether purchases need to be authorized by the parent first. You need to survey all types of customers to find out what they want and need and design for your actual customer base, instead of letting designers and programmers, who are typically of a younger demographic, determine those features in a vacuum.
