How can I reset my Screen Time password on MacBook?

hello, I forgot my screen time password, and I have already looked at the new article/post that you have made, that shows you how to change it, but in my case, I don't know if its different for a Mac or not, but I am on a Mac, and when I press "change passcode" it doesn't ask me

"forgot passcode?" so now I am locked out of my family's screen time settings, and cannot do anything about it, tempted to restart the whole Mac.
