thank you for replying! I have tried some troubleshooting, and along the way checked to see if I needed to update, & it said there were no updates available.I dont know what version it is. I use it 5-10 a month to purchase songs, most recently was a couple weeks ago. I know that's not helpful....

I ask which version you are using because your "signature strip" states Windows 6 (which can indicate that you are using Windows 7) and we need to know which version you have in order to assist you. Any message telling you that there are no updates, or that your iTunes is up to date can be misleading due to Apple's wording.

I dont know what version it is.

On iTunes' top bar menu, select Help/About iTunes. There will be a line saying Version XX.XX.x.x

when i tap HELP in itunes & check for UPDATES, it says 12.10.11 is the current version of itunes

Apple's wording leaves a lot to be desired.

What the message should say is that it is the current version of iTunes for Windows 7, but it is not the most up to date version of iTunes.

The current version of iTunes on Windows 10, is iTunes 12.13.6.1 but as I'm writing this, iTunes is being updated yet again.

It's possible that your version of iTunes can no longer access the store as it doesn't have sufficient security measures. Three years ago (February 2022) the requirement to access the store was for iTunes 12.7.2.58, but it may now be the case that even that is not good enough. Perhaps the restriction is due to Windows rather than iTunes itself. I haven't been able to find more up to date information on this.

I suspect the only resolution is to update your computer.
