How can I share a purchased playlist with someone without an Apple Music subscription?

I would like to develop a playlist of songs from apple music and send it to another person. If I understand correctly, both of us have to have subscriptions to Apple Music for this to work.

I can purchase songs from Apple Music / Itunes for $1.29 and download these to my phone to make a playlist and can share the songs but not the playlist, is this correct?

I see online about pressing the three dots for more options but sharing a playlist does not come up.

Is there a way to share a purchased playlist with another person who does not have subscription to apple music?

Timson,

It depends what you are trying to do. Sharing an Apple Music playlist with someone who does not have an AM subscription will do no good since they will not be able to play it.

If you want to give them downloads as gifts (for approximately the $1.29 per track that you mention), you can gift from the iTunes Store. This would have to be one track at a time. (The option to gift a full playlist in one transaction was removed from the Store years ago. The instructions are still floating around online, but they no longer work.)

Finally, if you want to kick it old school, burn the tracks to a CD.
