How do I resolve 'paused' status for wireless printing on MacBook Air to HP LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw?

My MacBook Air no longer prints wirelessly to HP LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw. Both devices are on the same network. LaserJet wireless network configuration report shows wireless on and working- no problems found. When I try to print anything, the print center in System Settings on my Mac says “paused”. When I click the resume printer button, it goes back to paused.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled printer software, restarted both devices, checked wireless network connections, reset the printer on my MacBook.
