How do I group clips in Final Cut Pro on my iPad?

I am using FCP for iPad v. 2.2. I have selected a range of clips. When I hold touch a selected clip a context menu pops up. But it does not include the option to group the clips. How do I group clips in FCP-iPad v. 2.2?

Is this forum open and up and running, lots of un answered questions - any FCpro experts on board ?

This forum is very much active.

We are all users like yourself (and the OP).

Sometimes a question does not get an answer, probably because we don't know it.

In FCP for Mac, the answer would be "compound clip". In FCP for iPad?

I can only speak for myself: I don't know. I did look at the user guide, and could not find an answer,

I do not have FCP for iPad, and don't even have an iPad capable of running it. In fact, even if I did, I would not pay the subscription.

On the other hand nearly all of the questions get answers.

Dear Luis,

Thank you for your response. I had hoped that a member of the Apple Final Cut Pro team might have provided some insight, considering the original post was made in March and it's now May.

It seems the Apple Discussions forum may be primarily community-driven by enthusiasts.

I appreciate you taking the time to review the user guide.

At the moment, I’m using the free version of Final Cut Pro for iPad, with the intention of moving to an annual subscription. However, I’ve found that the iOS version lacks functionality in several key areas.

This forum is for users.

There are Apple moderators, who are tasked with regulating the forum and ensuring that forum rules are respected; but not Apple engineers.

It is a fact that FCP for iPad lacks many features that are present in the Mac application.

Not only the Mac app is far superior, the platform is way superior, in my opinion.

You can, for example, easily use multiple disk drives with TBs of data, multiple screens and multiple applications simultaneously.

Just consider what it takes to add one extra screen and an external drive to the iPad.

I am fortunate to have bought FCP in 2011, and have enjoyed dozens of updates for free. :-)
