How can I fix Family Sharing email problems?

Hi, I tried to be added to my dad’s family sharing but when I entered the email for the account, it didn’t send. I sent it several times and nothing. After reading an article on this very issue on this website, I was misled into believing there was an “invitations” tab in settings where family sharing invites were supposedly meant to be; however, this tab simply doesn’t exist in my settings.
