How long will Apple support iPod Touch 7th generation?
Before I purchase an authentic Ipod Touch 7th generation, can Apple tell me how long they will support the device. Plans on discontinuing etc. TIA

Generally speaking, Apple will continue to stock parts for five years after the device was discontinued.

Of course, if the iPod keeps doing what you need and keeps working, you can use it for as long as you want.
To add to what bobjbkin has mentioned, how useful an iPod Touch will be to you it depends what you want to use the iPod for.
It's unlikely that you will find many modern apps for it. You can however, add music from your music library to it, either via iTunes (the programme) or Finder:
Apple has discontinued the iPod touch. The 7th generation was its last model. It can only use up to iOS 15.8.3. It is very unlikely that there there will be any feature upgrades. Apple has not said how long they will support it.
Thanks for the reply,
Good point, and I failed to mention such. The 7th gen Ipod Touch will only be used to store, and play my Itunes songs purchased from them over the years. As everyone knows, Apple has made my 5th gen. Ipod Classic obsolete. I'm not needing any updated features, just would like an idea on how long Apple will provide tech support on this device.
As long as they keep their Apple Music app, I'm ok with that. Apple Music is their music platform now, so I would assume they will keep the app updated. Whether or not they roll it in their OS system in Touch will be main to be seen.
Note that many apps still run on on a 7th generation iPod Touch (iOS 15), including my two banking apps. But there will be fewer and fewer as time goes on
