Missing download arrow in Safari app on iMac

We just bought a 2025 iMac running Sequoia. There is no downloads arrow in the Safari app. Downloads completed - quickly show they went to the task bar but then disappear immediately and no arrow to download.

I’ve found many versions of “how to” get it there - online - but the problem with Apple is that with their continual updates and constant system changes, everything constantly changes or gets moved around, and you don’t stand a sliver of a chance of being able to troubleshoot these things for yourself. Thank God they have a lot of great advisers and good help; because they completely undermine any ability they may (ever) have to downsize their customer service reps.

So (1) the downloads icon/folder is NOT found under (Safari) customize toolbar, so can’t be dragged there. (2) Dragging the folder (from Finder) also does not work.

I’m exhausted by Tech and trying to constantly troubleshoot these changes and re-figure it out.

If anyone figures it out, please post, it would be most greatly appreciated. I just can’t spend more time on this or alternatively call Apple….again. Thanks so much everyone.
