Alphabetizing Safari Bookmarks and Tabs - After all these years

After all these years, isn't there an easy way to alphabetically sort Safari bookmarks and tabs on an iPad? The manually intensive way of "edit>" manually move the 3 horizontal lines seems absurd for computers. And, sometime, it just doesn't work. The intended move just goes right back to where it was. It seems to fight back against the user, ie., human being at the keyboard.

Are there any solutions?
