BJs App Apple Pay orders keep sending orders to the wrong email?

The past few times I've placed a BJs order, they have been sending the confirmation to a family member's email account that is in no way connected to mine. It's not connected to my BJs account and I don't see it connected to my apple ID. The family member is not in my iCloud for Family Sharing. How do I stop this from happening?

It's definitely my BJs account, that family member has never been connected and does not have a BJs account of their own. That email doesn't show up under my ME contact card at all either. I had used the contact card solution to stop my receipts from getting sent to my work email, but now they're getting sent to this family member instead even though only my my personal email is listed everywhere I look now, and I can't find my family member's email listed anywhere.


My best guess is that it has something to do with a credit card connected to that person being listed as the first one when I go to Apple Account and select my iphone from the device list. When I scroll down that card is the first to be listed. But when I look at any of the details or settings for my wallet anywhere I can find, it doesn't show an email associated with it. It's not set as my default card in Wallet either.


It gives the option to "Remove Items" in the Device info, but I'm not sure if that will let me select which ones I want to delete, or if selecting that will delete ALL the associated payment methods.

This has plenty of possibilities.


  • Are you logging into family members account accidentally?


  • Have you checked the primary email for your own BJ account?


  • What email is shown for your ME contact card information your Apple Contacts app?

There’s a few to check and eliminate from the possibilities.

Does BJ have a loyalty or membership card you use it input data from? I had a similar issue years ago with a restaurant loyalty card that my credit cards were linked to.


They were linking the credit card at checkout to my loyalty card and using an old email from when I joined their program.


Any possibility something like that is happening?
