Battery Health decreased from 100% to 95% for just a month!

So I just got my iPhone 14pm last month at 100% battery health and now it dropped to 95%! FOR JUST A MONTH. Should I really need to follow the 20%-80% rule? Or should I stop using 100w charger?

Thanks for the info. Based on what you have told us, it sounds like you got a bad battery that may have been sitting at the shop for too long.

If the battery was replaced by an authorized Apple service shop, I believe you have a 90 day warranty on the battery.

Take the phone back to the shop and have them run some checks and tests on the battery.

Hello!

You don’t need a 100 Watt charger. It’s overkill. The maximum wattage you need is a 20 Watt wall adapter. Using a 100 Watt charger won’t make your device charge faster, since the iPhone’s “charger” is located inside the device, and only draws so much power.

You shouldn’t need to follow the 20-80 rule. You should charge your device to 100% each night, and you can charge it whenever you want to during the day. It’s actually not good for the battery to let it drain to 20% or lower if you can avoid it. And you have to charge it to 100% so the Maximum Capacity can calibrate itself.

Have a look at the following:

👉 When to charge your iPhone or iPad - Apple Community (Must Read!)

👉 Maximizing the battery performance and lifespan of your iPhone.

👉 About the battery usage on your iPhone

If the Battery Health continues to decline at this rapid speed, have the device checked out at a Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP):

Have a great day!

The iPhone 14 Pro Max was discontinued in September 2024. Are you saying that you bought a "new" phone? More likely, you purchased a refurbished phone or a used phone.

If the phone really was new, it has been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse somewhere for at least 6 months or more....which would not have been good for the battery at all.

Can you check the Model Number and post it here? Settings > General > About > Model Number

Also check to make sure that you bought from an authorized Apple dealer. Tap on the link below to see if you can find the name of dealer that you purchased from:
