How can I transfer my Apple data from Windows PC to new PC?

I currently have a Windows 10 PC and use the Apple Music and Apple Devices App. (It is not the old iTunes app). I add music from these to my iPod. I wish to move these to a new Windows 11 PC once I get it. I cannot find any instructions on how to do this. Everyone seems to talk about consolidating which was on the old ITunes and is not on Apple Music. I have all my music (bought and from CDs) backed up on to an external drive. I want all my playlists and dates last played etc to be viewable on the new PC. Do I need to copy the old iTunes Library.itl file which I can see in my C:/users folder to the new PC?

If you're using the Apple Music app in preference to iTunes (why? rhetorical) then copy over the Apple Music folder inside your user's Music folder before you install Apple Music on the new computer. That way it should just pick up the existing library when it is installed. Make sure the external drive is assigned the same drive letter as before. Apple Music lacks features to change libraries in the way you can with iTunes. Assuming you've been using Apple Music for sometime there is no need to worry about the old .itl file. It hasn't been updated since you made the switch, unless you've been using it for audiobooks or podcasts.
