For awhile now, my Apple Watch seems to be in full working order (vibrates, notifications, charges) however the display is completely blank. I have tried just hard resting it by holding the crown and power which makes the Apple logo appear, but straight to a blank screen. I tried unpairing also to no avail. Any advice?

Water damage can also cause the display to fail.
But since the replacement, depending on your model, will cost at least $299, buying a newer model seems to be the way to go.
Has the battery ever been replaced by Apple? Do you remember the Battery Health status of your Watch?
If the battery health has been beneath 80% the battery needs to be replaced, before it might damage other hardware parts inside the watch due to expanding and pressing against the display, for example.
It’s not particularly old so I can’t imagine the health being < 80%, I’d really avoid Apple repairs as they’re simply too expensive.
