Can I bypass Activation Lock on an old iPad without resetting Apple Account password?

So basically, I have an old iPad 3 from my mom, its activation locked but I know the Apple ID and password but its disabled and we can't reset the password of the account AT ALL but I have her old email on my iPhone contacts so is there any way to get back into the account so i can erase the iPad?
