Using Apple Pencil for writing to text conversion

I have discovered if you download the Apple Pages app that is usually pre- downloaded to the iPad, that is where you can use the Apple Pencil on a professional writing document to do writing converted to text. I do realize that the preferred method for most of us is Microsoft Word but pages app is a decent alternative app that you can use to submit documents for school work if you want to be able to hand write with your Apple Pencil and have it automatically converted it into text.
