Do I need to replace my keyboard when buying a new mouse?

So I'm thinking I need to replace my mouse, so do I need to replace the keyboard at the same time?

No.

Also, if you are thinking about buying the Magic Mouse that is currently sold by Apple, be aware that it requires macOS 15.1 or later for use on an iMac.

Also be aware that only 2019 and later iMacs can upgrade to macOS 15.1 or later.

See the following from Magic Mouse (USB‑C) - White Multi-Touch Surface - Apple

System Requirements

Mac with macOS 15.1 or later

iPad with iPadOS 18.1 or later
