Alchemy pitch bend setting isn't working

The setting for pitch bend is +/-2 (as shown in the attachment). But it's moving at least 3 full octaves in either direction over the full range of the control wheel. The only other control I can find is enabling or disabling pitch bend for each individual voice. What am I missing?

No, I'm saying the pitch bend wheel is wildly sensitive on this voice (and a bunch of others I was auditioning in Alchemy). The pitch moves up/down multiple octaves, not the 2 semitones shown in the settings. Was having the problem without any plugins on the strip.

I just tested out and it worked out well. Alchemy was following the exact semitones. Have you updated to the latest version of Logic Pro?

Does this happen on other virtual instruments like Retrosynth? Just wondering if it’s a software or hardware controller issue?

Try an initialized setting with Alchemy and see if you have better luck with just a simple sine or square wave on the Oscillator.

Still happening even with the preset initialized and with just a sine wave. There must be something else buried in here that’s letting the pitch bend cover 4 octaves in either direction.

I’ve managed to work around the spots I was planning to use pitch bend on this current track, but is there a way to reload Alchemy later. Since you said Harmonic Scream Synth worked normally for you, figure that’s my only option for getting things back to their default settings.

What do you mean by "is there a way to reload Alchemy later?".

Do you mean save Alchemy presets?

It's a long shot but have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Logic Pro? Maybe try throwing away your cache list as well to rescan plug-ins.

If I were in your situation, I would throw the following files away and then re-download them AND also do a uninstall/reinstall.

/Library/Application Support/Logic/Alchemy Samples

Be sure to go to the SOund Library Manager to help you download those files after you throw them away.

Hope that helps,
