How do I reinstall Numbers on Mac running macOS Sequoia?

I have reinstalled MacOS and the first time I went to open a spreadsheet, it said that Numbers was damaged and should be moved to the trash, which I have done. How do I reinstall numbers? I can find the file on the Apple support site and when I ask the question, I get stupid answers about using Numbers. Sequoia 15.3.2 (24D81)

What version of macOS is your MacBook Air running? Click on the  in the upper left of the menu bar & select "About this Mac." What does it say under macOS? If it is less than macOS 14, you are probably out of luck. Apple does not maintain past full installers of Pages for user download.

If you have never installed Pages since Oct 2013 from the Mac App Store, then you cannot get the latest compatible version for Ventura or earlier. If you have, then launch the Mac App Store on Catalina, and log in with the same Apple ID as you used for the previous installation. Press cmd+0 (zero) to open the Purchased panel, and if Pages is there with a blue cloud download icon, select that. A dialog will then offer to install the last compatible version of Pages for your OS.

A 2019 MacBook Air can run the current version of macOS, so I suggest that you update your Mac. You can then install Pages, Numbers & Keynote.

I never ceases to frustrate me that Apple makes it difficult or impossible to download a compatible version of an app. They obviously have them available for download because you can download one IF you had downloaded it before. I assume it is to force/cajole you to upgrade your hardware and OS. Same thing with lack of backward compatibility of Apple apps. I'm sitting here with two old Macs. I'd like to replace one with a new one but then my Numbers versions will be different and my documents will become incompatible across my two computers. I either upgrade both or neither. I have chosen neither so far.

I have a MacBook Air roughly 2019 from my daughter. After she reset it back to factory settings, "numbers, pages, etc" is gone. It gives me an error that it can't be installed now because it requires OS 14 or later. I'm new with a Mac. Any help would be much appreciated!
