Where exactly are you seeing the second copy?

Are you saying it installs a second icon next to the first one on your home screen?

Are there 2 icons for the App in the App Library?

The App Store is not set to install 2 copies of apps you download and there's no direct way to control this. It installs one and only one.

Perhaps if you explain why you think there's a second copy, where you are seeing it, someone can offer a solution.

Thank you so much for replying. Any help you can give me I would appreciate it. Only Other thing I think I could do is possibly download all my pictures and everything to the cloud and then reset my phone. It’s the only thing I know to do and any suggestions appreciate it thank you so much

Based on your explanation, they don't seem to be copies of the app, just the icon and it points to the same app. If you are seeing them in different groups or in different places in the App Library it may just be by how apps get sorted. It may be placing the app or game in more than one category or group.

It can happen for instance for recently downloaded apps. They will be placed in the Recently Added group and also in the category group they belong to. This does not in any way mean there's 2 copies of the app or game. It's just one, but its getting sorted by 2 different criteria.
