Final Cut Pro 11.0.1 crashes every time I remove attributes (Shift + Command + X)

Every time I use Shift + Command + X, "remove attributes" from clips, for example; I want to delete a colour grade from a selection of clips, FCP 11 crashes as soon as I press 'remove'. It never did this pre FCP11, but now its every time. I have tried all the usual's like deleting preferences, updating, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Fcp11.0.1 on a Mac Studio M1 Max, 32GB Ram, MacOS Sequoia 15.3.2

Mac Studio, macOS 15.3

I have been a little worried it may have been from the 'cleanmymac' do you think this could be it? I really hope not. Is there any way to disable it or delete it to see if there is a change?

I can't be sure, of course, but I shudder every time I see this in a report. This thing has been known to wreak havoc on many systems.

You can try uninstalling it (you need to follow their instructions, it is NOT enough to drag the application to the trash), and them delete FCP preferences once again, and maybe trash FCP and download a fresh copy from the App Store. If it works then, it's fine.

If not, then it may be something else, or maybe cmm has damaged something that is not fixable by just uninstalling, and a clean install is probably required.

Did you delete the preferences? Always delete preferences when the application crashes or behaves unexpectedly.

To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting the application and click Delete Custom Settings. The application will start with default settings and open an "Untitled" library. Adjust the settings, reopen the library you were working, and see how it works now.

Are your media and library on a locally connected drive? Are either of them on a NAS server? Are you using any color-related third-party plugins, such as CoreMelt, Color Finale, etc.?

Can you export an XML of your project, create a test library, import the project XML to that library, and try "remove attributes" on that?

I've just found this after updating to 11.0.1, it's very annoying, and came across this thread with a quick search.

I don't have Clean My Mac on my system, and never have. This is a clean-install M1 Max, latest OS, latest FCPX, and it's just crashing the app the instant I click "remove" on the bulk "remove attributes" window.

Removing preferences doesn't help. It's like the FCP point update knocked a screw loose somewhere.

Deleting them one-by-one, on separate clips, doesn't cause any issues but as you can imagine, is not useful if you have lots of clips.

Please get your FCP crash logs from the MacOS Console app, Crash Reports heading, or from ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports or ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/Retired and drop them here for analysis. Do not edit them in TextEdit or any other editor. If some of the FCP crash logs have an .ips file extension, include those also.
