I don't know how come it shows no service why my sim is still active and I never do anything in settings like network settings and I'm from Nigeria, and never travel abroad before so I don't know how this issue comes up and my iOS is up to date I can't update it to iOS 17

You may need to contact your carrier for help. You said your traveling abroad, did you purchase an International roaming plan or purchase a SIM/eSIM from a carrier for the country you are in?
If you see SOS, No Service, or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Contact your carrier for help if you have no service on their cellular network.
By the way, your iPhone 7 as stated in your tagline can only be updated to iOS 15.8.3. It does not support iOS 17, but instead the iPhone XR and later does.
