Pages to ePub Creating Blacked-Out Text Boxes
I converted my 100 page pages file to ePub. The pages document is a picture book and has textboxes with image files. Nearly all the text boxes are blacked out. Anyone have this issue?

It helps if you share specifically the version of Pages installed on the version of macOS you are using.
Since your second sentence could mean two different things, I inserted a text box with some text and assigned a JPG image as its background. I also dragged/dropped another JPG image into the document.
Exporting that content to each of a Reflowable, or Fixed EPUB produced no blacked-out boxes.
I do not recall anyone reporting the issue you describe with blacked-out text boxes upon export to an EPUB. I have not experienced this issue with any version of Pages on previous releases of macOS when exporting to EPUB.
Tested: Pages v14.3, macOS Sequoia v15.3.2
