Is there a way to manually rotate the image in a Facetime call?

When I use Facetime to make video calls, it seems to auto-rotate the image of the person I'm talking to. Sometimes it works well, but sometimes it seems to get confused and the image is sideways. Even if I turn my phone in my hand, the image auto-rotates to keep itself sideways.

There are a few controls I can manipulate during a Facetime call, such as switching between the front and back camera, but I cannot find any setting that allows me to rotate the image. I should note that the inset image that shows me works - autorotates - properly. I tried locking the screen orientation, but I ended up with my image upside down or sideways.

Unfortunately, FaceTime does not currently offer a manual image rotation feature during calls. 1. Lock Screen Orientation: While you mentioned trying this, ensure the device is held upright before locking the orientation. This might help stabilize the image.

2. Restart the Call: Sometimes, restarting the FaceTime call can reset the auto-rotation and fix the sideways image issue.

3. Switch Cameras: Temporarily switch between the front and back cameras during the call. This can sometimes prompt the app to recalibrate the image orientation.
