iMovie stopped working Feb 2025

I called Apple Support and after lengthy online chat and phone call, they basically gave up on it; says it doesn't work and could not say if Apple has given up on it or whether there will be a fix soon. I have used it faithfully for over 7 years and have shared it with other Apple users; I'm very disappointed it still isn't working and no updates for my iphone 14 Pro. Has anyone heard anything else? I dont' want to reset my phone.....
