Can I use an 85W charger on my 2015 MacBook Air (A1466)?

I have a 2015 mba(a1466) i have to work on that old laptop but I need a fast charge cuz when I wake up from my nap, my mba is still not full. I saw on the internet what there are some type c to mag safe 2. it's 85w but that page said my mba can only support 45w charger. then I asked chatgpt then It said that it's safe to use. Can anyone help me abt I should buy that or not.

You can safely use an 87W MagSafe 2 power adapter with that laptop.

This laptop does not support fast charging.....that is a feature that is available for newer models.

If you want to allow the laptop to charge as fast as possible, then power off the laptop so all of the power for the power adapter can go to charging the battery. If the laptop is powered on some of that power will go to running the laptop. Sleep mode will allow the laptop to charge more quickly than while it is awake, but perhaps not as fast as when completely powered off.
