Mac mini doesn't use eGPU

I constructed external gpu (AMD RX580) and connect with thunderbolt 4 to Mac mini 2018 (intel). I see notification (wrong disconnection) when I disconnect TB by Mac and i watch egpu in about system but not fully description and i dont see gpu in top bar. When i reboot mac mini i see only Apple sign on display which connected with eGPU . How does egpu connect right?

If you see the eGFX enclosure show up under Thunderbolt and receive disconnect notices then the enclosure (probably) is working. I've also seen user reviews reporting th3p4g3 success with MacOS.

The RX 580 (2080SP) however is a known problem. Those use overclocked RX 570 (Polaris 20 XL) chips that were rebadged for the Chinese market and the MacOS drivers don't know how to handle the ID/Chip discrepancy. The only success stories with 580 (2048 SP) on MacOS all start with users who manage to first flash the GPU bios with layout equivalent RX 570 firmware. I'd suggest a different GPU before getting a different enclosure.
