Why does VPN not connect to the internet on my iPhone?

Does your employer or school require a VPN? If no, VPN is simply, utterly, just not needed on an iPhone and cheap ones like the one you're using not only don't provide the security you think they do, but actually are tracking your every more and worse, can cause connectivity issues on iPhone, including preventing you from accessing banking apps. If you aren't required to use a VPN, the best advice we can offer is to not only turn it off, but remove the VPN profile completely from your iPhone.

If you subscribe to a VPN service, you’re looking at where their profile would be installed. If you’re not subscribing to a VPN, then there’s nothing to connect to.
