I took a video on Photo Booth and closed the app without saving it. Now I see the video in my trash bucket, but there is no "put back" option. I also did not have the Time Machine or a different back up option installed. HELP!!

You can always move an item from the Trash back to your Desktop or any other location. There is no "undo" or "put back" action in this case. Just open the Trash, then move (drag) the file to the place you want it to go to.
