Play music app on ipad 6th generation without downloading music from Library?

Since the iPad 6 gen only has 32gb storage I don't want to download music to it. Instead I'm using it as a dedicated music player. iPad - Music app - camera adaptor - DAC - 3.5mm line - amplifier. I subscribed to iCloud 50gb. The problem is Music Library Download folder wants to download files to the iPad. Is there a way to stop this from happening but access the Music Library playlists? Thanks in advance
