Are Qardio servers down after bankruptcy?

Based On other Qardio subject (Where has the app gene?) I want to add a new discussion: after going bankrupt, is now the final stage reached that the servers are down? Since yesterday.

need to direct the api calls from the Qardio devices to some midware proxy instead of Qardio systems that would then call Apple Health. It would be relatively easy to write this piece of software but hard to do without Qardio’s help, due to https for one.

When a car maker goes bankrupt, the spareparts are still manufactured for 10 years. Qardio, it would be lovely if you could take responsibility of your products not turning into unnecessary waste by finding a solution that would allow the users to still use their devices, even if only with Apple Health. Perhaps Apple would be kind enough to run this small proxy on their systems?

You are not talking to either Apple or Qardio in the Apple community forum. We are all Apple users, like you. I cannot see Apple offering that service to a bankrupt company ... or any other company for that matter. Each app developer is responsible for making their app work with Apple. If Qardio is not willing or able to keep it running, then I'm afraid you are out of luck.

i have ALL the Qardio devices. The thermometers (both models), pulse Oximeter, and BP cuffs still are working and updating Apple Health. The Base 2 still functions, but stopped updating the app (and Apple health) on April 29, 2025. I have reset it, reconnected it to WiFi and wasted hours on it. Googling the company turned up this thread. Since it connects via WiFi, and if the servers are kaput, then the cause of my “interruption” is clear.

This makes me more sad than angry, because their devices are the best in category. I have anticipated this day would come and tried (purchased and currently have) similar products from most competitors. All of them are inferior in one or more ways (app, Bluetooth reliability, device quality). I would love to know the back story why they couldn’t make it.
