iTunes Connect Application error

Hi, trying to create an iTunes Connect account to sell books and completely new to Apple.


Started by creating an Apple account, but when I go to log into iTunes Connect it says the account isn't enabled for iTunes Connect - I click 'learn more' which takes me to the iTunes Connect Application, I select 'books' and then select 'continue' - it then asks me to log in using the Apple account which I do but I then get an error message saying 'This Apple Account does not have a valid credit card on file. Go to your account to update this account with valid credit card information before trying again.'


I have uploaded two credit cards to my account but this error message still keeps on coming up and I am unable to continue, even though I have two credit cards on the account.

I was told by the Live Chat and also when they called me to click the question mark then click 'contact us' but when I do that it just refreshes the page for me to log in, but I can't log in due to the above problem yet Apple Support keep directing me to that page.

I was on with Apple support when I first saw your message. I was also directed to the iTunes Connect page but hit an error and explained that it wouldn't work either. My husband also tried with his account and he got the same error. So I think it is something with the iTunes Connect site. It doesn't make sense that there would be three separate accounts that just happen to have something wrong, especially when I've verified with Apple support that nothing is wrong with my account there.


I went to the Apple home page and reported the error with the site there. They claim to read every submission but may not reply. I'm hoping that someone will have a way to contact the person who owns the page and tell them that it is not working. Based on what I have seen, it doesn't look like Apple looks at this discussion board like they do with some of the others. I just don't know how long this will take or how I would know when it is fixed other than trying every day.
