downgrade to microsoft 365 classic

Following a microsoft support page on how to downgrade from 365 basic to 365 classic, I cancelled my 365 subscription. The support page didn't state that the instructions do not work for 3rd-party stores. After chatting to someone at Microsoft Support, he said that because my subscription had been through apple, I would not be able to get 365 classic through microsoft and that I should contact apple who would have the 365 options, including downgrading to classic (which is what I had before I was involuntarily upgraded to basic). My apple subscription page only shows the upgrade and price for 365 basic. I have been unable to contact apple support regarding this issue and cannot find an existing apple support page that would help with this issue. Has anyone else had this issue; if so, do you have a resolution for this problem?

I have the same problem. Microsoft basically forced everyone to upgrade their plans but I can't have AI integrated. I have to use Classic. I cancelled my apple subscription, but when I tried to sign up directly through Microsoft, it renewed the old subscription because of my apple ID email. I feel a little unhinged trying to deal with this, because Microsoft CLEARLY doesn't want us to have an option to keep the 69.99 Classic version.

Today, I talked to apple support. They said that the developer provides what apps they choose and that 365 classic was not listed. So, I contacted Microsoft again. Riza the bot suggested that I let my subscription expire and then choose 365 classic through Microsoft. I will try this
