iPos Shuffle 2nd generation does not show up in Finder or iTunes

A friend of mine gifted me his iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation and at his place, on a Windows PC everything worked fine. I was able to put some music on it and listen to it.

Now at home (on my MacBook Pro M2 Max, MacOS 15.3.1), the iPod does not appear in Finder (or in the Music app). But it is definitely recognised, because when I use Parallels Desktop, it asks me, if I want to connect the iPod to Windows or Mac.

I also tried plugging the iPod in my Windows Laptop and there was an error that the USB device is not recognised.

Does anyone know what the problem may be? I really could use some help.
