When playing a podcast in the car thru bluetooth form my phone and I turn it off by shutting car off now switches to playing on my phone.

Just recently my iphone that is hooked to my BMW X5 via bluetooth is playing a podcast and when I park and shut off my car the podcast used to stop playing. Now it will switch to my phone and continues playing on my phone. It does not stop like it used to.

I was told that CarPlay had an update which is causing this. I have read that it is a big issue on google within the forums.

Now it does not happen all the time which makes it stranger. Plus it doesn't happen with music only podcasts.

I will double check that. But in my car it happens about 1 out of 3 times I shut the car off that the podcast will switch to playing on my phone. Never used to do that???

Anyone have a fix about that? I believe it is an apple issue in the newer ios18 as it was fine before that.
