iTunes blocking songs to be played on iPhone

I bought a CD and transferred it to iTunes on my computer. Then I transferred it to my iPhone. When I went to play that album in my car only some of the songs would play. The songs that didn't play were grayed out. When I went to tap those songs, to play them, I received a message that read,"this item is not currently available in your country or region." I can play the song on my computer but not on my iPhone. What gives? If this was a iTunes purchase maybe I could understand but I bought the CD and I should be able to play all the songs on what ever device I have. Does anyone have any suggestions?
