iOS 18.3.1 Podcasts skip back/forward buttons misbehaving

Bit of an odd problem I’m having with the iOS Podcasts app. About half of the time when I press the skip back button, the podcast actually skips forward some amount of time. After this, the skip back button will work normally again and I can rewind to where I like.

Same thing when using tap controls on my AirPods, the first “skip back” command will often trigger a skip forward.

The skip forward button appears to function normally, no issues there.

Podcasts have also been starting out choppy without freezing, rewinding themselves 1-10 seconds every so often. Incredibly irritating.

Any similar experiences? I wasn’t experiencing these issues until the most recent update.
