Can Motion add a flashlight beam to a moving flashlight in stop motion?

Hello, I need to add a flashlight beam to a flashlight being moved in stop motion. I am just wondering if it can be done with Motion ? I will figure it out if it can be done.


Before going down that road I would like to know if it is possible ?


I would import the movie clip in Motion and then add the effect.

Very basic and there is an issue that will probably need to be worked out. It involves the Zoom Blur but I think I know how to work that out. If you move the position from center screen, the zoom blur will not match the "flashlight beam". I think I need to link the Start Point of the Replicator and the Zoom Blur Center to a separate OSC (been experimenting — this seems to be working!).


The Rotation of the flashlight will need to be changed from the Group to the Replicator (Y & Z). I know that sounds weird (it is) - the "light" is oriented along the X-axis and the X plane orientation needs to be maintained to avoid parallax issues in 3D space.


Be happy to discuss it further … if necessary ;)
