2019 27" iMac intel. Is Ventura last best OS to run FCPX 10.6.10

Have brand new 2019 not yet plugged it in, due to work relocation after buying it. It was totally maxed out. I read somewhere FCPX 10.7 upgrade requires at a minimum Sonoma or newer. If true then I need to keep my iMac at Ventura.

Therefore thinking upgrade Catalina (came on iMac) to Ventura and FCPX up to 10.6.9 or 10.6.10?

Also, hope I could wipe out Catalina when I first startup the iMac to simply then install the Ventura by itself- Any of this sound O.K.?

I own original version of FCPX (possibly came with or updated to 1.1 if correctly recall). The 2009 iMac it was on crashed, told not to dump $ into it, has a white screen and can't get to anything, have a Time Machine backup.

Also read somewhere that FCPX with 10.7 update will not run on anything less than Sonoma or newer. Therefore, if I just go to Ventura I could use either of the updates: 10.6.8, 10.6.9, or 10.6.10 from what I read-

OK, I see that I could go up to Sequoia, playing it safe for now think I'd go with Sonoma (if all goes well can up it from there). So, for upgrading my FCPX, thinking I could do 10.7.1. I see on "creative.adobe.com" that 10.7.1 has an increased stability on Sonoma. Thinking upgrading FCP any higher without a silicon Mac probably not doing much for me.

Any direction in where to read on installing eg. Sonoma on my new 2019 iMac. Is it possible to remove the Catalina that is on it or do I just keep upgrading it till I get to Sonoma? Have not plugged it in yet- it better work the AppleCare wore off long ago

Thanks for your comments!

Nothing that you have told us so far seems to justify going with anything less than the current version of macOS (Sequoia 15.3.1 at the time of writing), and the current version of FCP (11.0.1).

If you choose to go with an older OS, be aware that you may not get an exact version of FCP that you desired - yo will only be offered the most recent that works for your OS. For example, if you try to download FCP when running Sonoma 14.7.4, you will only get FCP 11.0.1, the current version.
