Why is my Presto card being rejected in Apple Wallet

I was unable to add my presto transit card to my new phone. It kept on saying “Rejected due to fraud”. I tried every suggested solutions . Even ever I call apple support, they kept on telling me it was an issue from Presto and not from Apple. So I called Presto and they told me I have to delete the transit card from my old phone. BUT that’s the thing, apple wallet does not allow to remove presto transit card at all! I was able to delete all cards from my apple id history but not the presto card. I tried everything. At the end, I experimented into adding the transit card to google wallet in an andriod phone. Guess what? It worked! So basically it is not the problem from presto but apple wallet itself. Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Apple does not participate in the provisioning of transit cards. The issuing authority controls adding cards to the Wallet and while they are in your Wallet.

Apple Pay uses different technology than Google Pay and is generally considered more secure and offers additional layers of fraud protection. Adding a payment method for one and not the other is irrelevant because of the differences.

You can remove a transit pass by following the path below.

iPhone > Wallet app > tap transit card > More button (3 dots in a circle in upper right corner) > Delete Pass
