In other words starting with what version of PSE did Adobe require online activation? (PSE15 does, that I know so would be older)
If anyone knows the answer ALSO for PhotoShop PS not PSE feel free to reply as well. (PS12/CS5 does so would be older)

I can't give you a definitive answer but online I've found references to versions as old as v6 that require activation - and that's no longer available. If you're trying to install an older version, are you sure it will run on a modern Mac?

PSE v8 has no online activation required. I have v15 and it is required.
Would like to get a version in between, so need to know what to expect those years those - Activation Y/N, or if Y how old can it be.
Newest Mac is 2015 - some would not consider it Modern.
The year of the Mac isn't so important, it's the version of the OS. But for accurate information on this you'll need to contact Adobe.
