I want to download songs from my iPod shuffle 2.02 gb to my Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7

Some of the songs on the iPod shuffle are from a 20 year old computer I no longer have. The songs show in music when the iPod is connected, but the 2 options available are delete and sync the music from my computer to the iPod. There is no option to download from the iPod to the computer or even to play the songs while the iPod is connected. How can I download the music from the iPod to my Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 or any other device?
