so my iphone was RELIGIOUSLY connected to my alexa (2nd gen echo show 5) for months and i had to remove my phone as a device because it would connect randomly. anyways i tried to add my phone again (with the app) & it was not recognized at all! & it hasn't been since. is this an apple problem or amazon's fault?

Sorry, I don't have an Alexa device to test with, but I suggest that you go through the same initial setup steps you did the first time you paired your iPhone with it.
You can also see if in the Bluetooth setting on your iPhone that the Alexa device is listed, and if it is, try "forgetting" it. The start the pairing process again.
Could be either or neither. What exactly have you tried, so far yourself, to resolve this that didn't work?
I am assuming that the statement "I had to remove my phone as a device" is something you do via the Alexa interface ... correct? What device are you using that is controlled by Amazon's Alexa?
yes so my iphone 11 was the device connected to the alexa and it was just bluetoothed (as an option in the "paired devices" menu on the alexa) and i manually disconnected it because it was driving me craaazy & now the alexa doesn't recognized it as even a device?
