How to turn off Focus on iPad 7th Gen and iPhone 15?

I do not want to use this feature. How do I know, for sure, that focus is off. If I do or did not want to receive notifications for certain apps, I would simply not have it set for notifications to be sent.

i have followed previous steps mentioned, but still not receiving.

Sorry, but I'm not clear on your situation. If you don't want to use the Focus feature, then just don't set up a focus. Unless something has gone amiss, it's something you would have to do deliberately.

I think you need to explain in more detail what issue you're running into, since we don't know what "previous steps" you're referring to nor what exactly you're not receiving.

Regards.

If Notifications and sound alerts are not behaving as expected for a particular notification type, disable (i.e., turn off) Sounds for the Notification that is not working as expected - then disable the Notification itself. Finally exit settings entirely.

Next, force-restart your iPad:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

After your iPad restarts, revisit iPad Settings - and again set the Notification settings as you would like them to operate.

The process of disabling and re-enabling the required Notification type, coupled with the restart, will hopefully clear the problem.

You don't turn off the app itself (it's not actually an app per se, it's a function built into the OS). You just don't set a focus, or you turn off any focus you don't want to still have active. If you've never set a focus, then that's probably not what is causing your issue.

As to the actual problem, please explain further what is going wrong or not happening and what you've already tried.

Regards.
