Photo Recovery from iPhone 14 Plus in SOS Mode

Hello! My grandmother recently passed and we are trying to get the photos off of her iPhone 14 Plus(the number was disconnected so it is stuck in SOS mode but is connected to WiFi). I can access them via the files option, but there are a ton of folders with only 1 or 2 photos. We are trying to pull photos of her to use for her memorial/celebration of life. Anyone have any recommendations or advice on how to export the photos?

You say it's in SOS mode, so there's not cellular service, but that's not really a problem. The phone is unlocked, is that right? You can see apps and scroll through screens?

Do you know if she used iCloud Photos? If she did, and if you have her Apple ID, then you can sign in and see all her pictures at iCloud.com.

If the phone is unlocked, you can use a USB to Lightning cable to plug the phone in to a computer. You didn't say what sort of computer you're using. On a Mac you'd use the app Image Capture from the Applications folder. This might give limited results if she used iCloud Photos to keep all her original pictures, but if all the originals are actually on the phone, you should see them and be able to download them with this app.
