iCloud Calendars and Contacts with New Outlook in Windows 11

I got a new PC with Windows 11. In older versions of everything, I would open the iCloud App and could turn on Calendars and Contacts for my gmail account in Outlook. Now, in the iCloud App it says "To sync iCloud in New Outlook, configure your Apple Account in New Outlook" in Mail, Calendars and Contacts. The link on the web only tells me how to add my iCloud email address in New Outlook. Forget that.

I want to have the Calendar and Contacts on my iPhone and iPad sync with my gmail account Calendar and Contacts in New Outlook. It worked on my old computer with the older versions of Windows and Outlook. It basically created a second Calendar and second Contacts and it always synced with the iPhone and iPad.

New Outlook is pretty bad. But there must be a way to still do this. Can someone lay out the steps clearly for this? Thank you.

I think it just took time to sync up. I added my iCloud email address. The stuff appeared within there. Then it appeared eventually as a secon calendar mixed together with an empty calendar in my Gmail account in Outlook. It was basically a delay, but it happened.

Thanks for your response!

Frankly, not quite what I expected, as I think I've been waiting already for quite a while now (several times) for it to sync... even tried Outlook classic—which works fine with iCloud sync but is barely usable in everything else...

Well, okay then, let's give it another (longer) try 👌
