Air Pod "Insertion Failure"

Bought the Air Pod 2s for hearing help. Never passed the insertion test, tried all the ear cups. After30 or so failures, went to the daughters so she could actually see the insertion. More failures. She had her own Air Pods which she bought for music. She was a happy customer, but then tried the insertion test. Insertion failure, but she is still a happy music listener. I don't know what the problem was, but sent them back as I wanted the hearing help. Will check here for ideas and or updates. I suspect that I will try again another day. Ideas?

I had the same problem. I bought foam tips from Foam Masters and they did not fix the problem. The problem is due to an Apple design problem. The leg of the AirPods Pro 2 that holds the silicone tip is not long enough to allow the silicone tip to be completely inserted in the ear canal. It is too short. I found a workaround. Twist the AirPods leg that is supposed to be hanging down to an up position. At some point you will feel the silicone tip go completely inside the ear canal. That will allow you to pass the fit test. Then put the AirPods back into their normal down position. I am not sure this effects the performance as hearing aids or not. I have not looked, but maybe a third party has tips with an extended base to increase the tips length.

I inserted them with the leg down, with the leg up, and forward. I tried leg down then rotating up like screwing them in. Also the reverse. Nothing worked for me. I think they have a great future as they definitely helped me hear better. I never could adjust them to my hearing as proper insertion is required to take the hearing test. I believe in 6 to 12 months all of us will be able to pass the insertion test. Willing to try them again in the future. Returned them while returnable. Thanks
